Ledgent is working with a well-known construction client in the northern metro adding a Senior AP Lead/Supervisor to their growing team.
Direct Hire. $65,000-$80,000 + BONUS. Fully on-site in Golden Valley.
Job Description:
- Ensures timely and accurate processing of payables in alignment with organizational policies
- Reviews and approves vendor setup and payment changes, ensuring compliance and completeness
- Coordinates regular check runs and compiles disbursement packages for management review
- Manages and monitors payment activity through financial systems, including check, ACH, and wire transactions
- Prepares and files required tax forms, including 1099s and sales/use tax returns
- Verifies invoice approvals and coding; resolves discrepancies or incomplete information
- Collaborates with internal teams to identify and reduce risk related to payment fraud and financial controls
- Provides backup support for billing tasks and ad hoc financial responsibilities
- Assists with audit preparation by gathering and analyzing supporting documentation
- Responds to vendor and internal inquiries with professionalism and timeliness
- Contributes to process improvements by updating procedures and training team members on system changes
- Supports, mentors, and helps train other accounts payable personnel
- Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as needed
Requirements:
- 5+ years of full-cycle A/P and Accounting experience (1099's, ACH/wire transfers, check-runs, Expenses, etc.)
- Strong communication skills (able to work closely with senior level executives)
- Comfortable working fully ON-SITE
